Real stories, told with real archive footage.

Lorecaster turns a topic into a narrated, fact-checked short documentary video. It is built from public-domain and openly licensed archive photos and footage, with every source credited automatically.

How it works

Script

A language model writes the script, then a second editor pass checks the facts and the timeline.

Real footage first

It searches open archives for footage of the actual subject, and a vision model rejects anything unrelated or look-alike.

AI only when needed

When no real image exists for a moment, it draws one locally in a documentary style, guided by real reference photos.

Edit & publish

Narration, word-by-word captions, music and pacing are assembled into a 1080p vertical video, with a title, description and credits ready to publish.

Licensing by design

Only open sources

Wikimedia Commons, NASA, Smithsonian Open Access, Internet Archive, Openverse, Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash, Europeana and others. Only public-domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA material is used. Copyrighted agency photos are never used.

Credits included

Every video ships with a source list (file, author, license, link), and AI-generated images are labelled as such. Uploads are marked as containing synthetic media.
